She has taught Ayurveda lifestyle management in the United States for over two decades. She holds a bachelor's degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from Amaravati University in Maharashtra, India, and a Master's in Healthcare Administration and Management from California College of Health Sciences. Additionally, she is a certified Panchakarma Therapist, Certified Beauty Therapist, and Board Certified Alternative Medical Practitioner.
Jaya recently published her book "Aging Gracefully," available on Amazon, and writes columns on "Ayurveda and Beauty Therapy" for an Indian newspaper. She is the founder of Active Ayurveda and Yoga and The Institute of Ayurveda and Life Style Management, and actively volunteers at seminars and workshops on various Ayurvedic topics.
An active member of various professional organizations including AAPNA (Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America), ISAH (International Society of Ayurveda and Health), AAPRA (American Association of Practitioners and Researchers of Ayurveda), and CAPI (Connecticut Association of Physicians of Indian Origin), she focuses on prevention and wellness in women’s health and nutrition in Ayurveda, as well as chronic conditions such as Arthritis, Asthma, Allergies, Mental health, Stress management, and Ayurvedic Weight Management wellness program.
Her dedication led to the development of a special lifestyle management for wellness program. Recognized as one of the best doctors in Connecticut, she was interviewed by Connecticut Magazine in April 2018 and is a speaker at multiple global Ayurveda conferences.
